Dr. Michael S. Baus

Dr. Michael S. Baus

A native of Kiel, Wisconsin, and a 1969 Kiel High School graduate, I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 1975. Upon graduation, I started my own practice in Chilton, WI, the same building we are presently located, in June 1975, while also maintaining my father, Dr. V.A. Baus' practice in Kiel until 1985. I am currently a member of the ADA, WDA, and DOCS. My wife Paulette and I are proud parents of four children: Dr. Mariah Murphy, Preston Baus, Dr. Lara Devine and Leah Baus. I enjoy balancing my time being a dentist and a father by traveling, cheering for my Green Bay Packers, and spending time with family and friends.

I have always been an avid conservationist, involved with DU, Pheasants Forever and NWTF for the last 35 years. I have converted most of the 76 acres I reside on into wildlife habitat, with ponds, marshes and have planted 13,000 trees. I love to be outdoors, even though I cannot be as active as I was when I was 30!

I have always treated Dentistry as a passion and have taken a wide variety of continuing education in Kinesiology, Nutrition, Occlusion, Pediatrics, Conscious Sedation and General Dentistry courses to keep up with the latest and best possible ways to treat our patients and this community. As of 2019, I have retired from seeing patients and appreciate all of the 43 years I could serve this great community. Thank you for all of the memories.

A native of Kiel, Wisconsin, and a 1994 Kiel High School graduate, I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2001. Upon graduation, I joined my father, Dr. Michael Baus, at his Chilton dental practice. This allowed me to quickly gain tremendous experience working on patients of all ages with all types of conditions. I am currently a member of the ADA, WDA, and DOCS.

My practice philosophy is to develop long-lasting, family-based, health-centered relationships based on trust, integrity, comfort, and open communication with patients. I love the opportunity to follow patients' of young families throughout their lives, watching them grow and change. I find my calm demeanor, generous spirit, and positive attitude aids in helping patients understand the causes of their current dental condition and developing a long-term plan to increase their physical well-being and self-esteem. By enhancing patient's appearances, making them comfortable, and developing trust, every patient will want to show off their smile!

My husband Brian and I are proud parents of four children, Aidan, Kiah, Liam, and Finnigan. Between being a dentist and a mom, life is never dull. When time allows I enjoy swimming, traveling, running, playing piano, and spending time with family and friends, and well as being an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers, Marquette University Basketball, and the Milwaukee Brewers.

Born and raised in Kiel, WI, I am excited to be serving the community I grew up in. After graduating from Kiel High School, I earned my first degree from Marquette University in Biomedical Sciences. I was then accepted into the Accelerated Nurse Practitioner Program at Marquette University where I received my RN license, and then worked briefly at St. Luke's Hospital in Milwaukee. I was happily accepted at Creighton University School of Dentistry and cut my nurse practitioner program short. After many dedicated years of schooling, I earned my Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree in 2010. I have since worked at Baus Family Dental where I enjoy using my education to fully treat each patient by understanding their true needs and wants. I am also currently a member of the ADA, WDA, and DOCS.

My husband Drew and I are fortunate to have been able to settle back in our hometowns and now have a son Dempsey. In my free time I am an avid runner and yogi, love traveling, and attending Marquette and Packer games. Being extremely fortunate to work beside my sister, I will strive to uphold and strengthen the tradition of excellent dental care at this remarkable state of the art office. With my experience, I strive to give each patient personalized care and answer their main concern.

I grew up and have lived in the Chilton area all of my life. I have over 22 years experience in dental hygiene and have been part of the Baus Family Dental team since 2014. I love spending time with my husband Brett, two children, Breanna and Alex. I enjoy fishing, hunting, sports, gardening, reading, and cooking.

I felt that Baus Family Dental would be a great place to make my professional home the first time I visited the office. The state of art technology, along with the team approach to gentle dental care contributes to my beliefs of creating the best experience for our patients.

I have been with Baus Family Dental since 2006. One of my favorite things about the office is the professionalism and efficiency with which we work, yet have fun. Patients often comment, 'This seems like a fun place to work and how they enjoy coming here!' Along with a great staff, I have the honor of caring for some of the nicest individuals to help keep a clean and beautiful smile.

I was born and raised in Kiel, WI. I received my dental hygiene education at MATC and practiced a few years in Madison before returning to the area to raise my family. I have a wonderful husband and am blessed with 3 amazing children. Outside the office, I enjoy spending my time with my family and close friends, attending the kids sporting events, and when the weather is warm-- being outside gardening and riding motorcycle with my husband.

I joined the Baus Family Dental team in 2004. I grew up in Kiel, which is where I still reside with my husband, Todd, and our two daughters, Grace and Alayna. My initial education from Lakeshore Technical College was a diploma for dental assisting. I have continued my studies there in pursuit of a degree in Human Services.

Outside of work, I enjoy gardening and canning. In the summer and fall our family loves to getaway to Door County. We hope to sightsee throughout the state and country as our girls grow older.

I feel blessed to be part of a great office in a great community. I enjoy not only coming to work, but building relationships with the patients we see.

I was born and raised in the Kiel area. In 1984, I married my husband of 30 plus years, Rick. Together we built our home and raised three children, Emily (Todd) Fox, Maria (Grant) Stecker, and Joshua (Erica). I have four granddaughters and one grandson as well. I have four granddaughters as well. In my spare time you will find me enjoying my family and granddaughters.

I have worked at Baus Family Dental since 2003. A fun fact about me is my mother, Dorothy, worked for Dr. Valentine Baus and my daughter, Emily, is employed at the office as well with Drs. Michael, Mariah, and Lara. This makes three generations working together in both families!
